Overview
The visit to Pisa Cathedral is regulated between tourist and religious use. For access, timetables were defined and an entrance fee introduced, thus transforming the monument into a museum structure. This measure allows greater tourist enjoyment of the historic building without jeopardising its religious function, while at the same time ensuring better protection of the works of art preserved there.
