The Chianti Classico Ecomarathon is the autumn running event that closes the sports season of Chianti.
It is an opportunity to discover the territory of Castelnuovo Berardenga and its landscape and food and wine riches.
The 2025 event is scheduled for October 17 to 19, with 4 competitive races:
- Relay 3×1500 mt
The opening event, which will take place within the village of Castelnuovo Berardenga. Uisp registered athletes, holders of the Agonistic Athletics medical certificate can participate. - Chianti Classico EcoMarathon, 42 km
The most importante race that allows you to pass through the most prestigious wineries in Chianti Classico, such as Poggio Bonelli, Castelli in Villa, Castello di Bossi, San Felice, Castello di Brolio, Villa a Sesta, Abbadia Monastero, Tenuta di Arceno and Fèlsina. - Chianti EcoMarathon, 21 km
A path that, due to its chracteristics and muscle effort required, is ideal in preparation for autumn marathons. - Between the woods and vineyards of Chianti, 14 km
For those who usually run road races, who run about an hour or so or for those who love running without having the stress of the stopwatch.
In addition, the event includes also the Chianti Classico EcoWalks: 3 routes - of 6, 14 and 19 km - suitable for everyone, to discover the beauty of the territory of Castelnuovo Berardenga at a slow pace.
