The Carnival of Ronciglione 2025

Overview

Ronciglione invites you to the highly anticipated Carnival 2025, one of the oldest in Italy. It represents the most heartfelt event in the country, based on the model of the Roman Renaissance and Baroque carnival. The great energy of this festival is from the spirit of the inhabitants of Ronciglione who, for almost a month, will transform the city into a realm of entertainment.

The sound of the "Big Bell", located on the roof of the Town Hall, announces the beginning of the festival, full of events: from the popular dance of the “Saltarello” accompanied by the musical band, to the themed floats, the “Corso di Gala”, the Children's Carnival, the “Nasi Rossi” (red nosed carnival character), and of course many gastronomic options up until the ritual of the Death of Carnival King.

Get ready for the grandiose “Corso di Gala”, which will transform the streets of the town into a spectacular stage flooded with confetti and streamers with thousands wearing costumes made by local seamstresses. The focus of the parades will also be the themed floats, made of papier-mâché by the artists and young people of the town.

But the program of the Ronciglione Carnival also reserves other surprises: evening parties, theatrical performances in the squares, and entertainment for children. There will also be food areas where you can delight yourself with typical Carnival sweet treats.
