GUINNESS SIX NATIONS 2025

Overview

Great rugby returns to Rome with the 2025 edition of the Guinness Six Nations, the oldest tournament in the world and one of the capital's most important annual sporting events.

Founded in 1883 as the Home Nations Championship among the four nations of the British Isles (England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland), with the inclusion of France in 1910, it became the Five Nations. Not until 2000 did it acquire the current name Six Nations, with the arrival of Italy, which earned inclusion to the exclusive competition through the merit of victories on the field over Ireland, Scotland and France.

Over the years, the Rome leg has become the most popular with Italian and foreign fans, who particularly appreciate the opportunity to visit a city unique in the world for its museums and archaeological heritage. The artistic and architectural beauties are the setting for hospitality that reflects the values and the celebration of the sport, epitomised in the now famous 'third half'. For the occasion of the Six Nations match, the Third Half Village in the Foro Italico Park will welcome spectators throughout the day with live music, sports initiatives, food and drinks, and the opportunity to watch the other matches on maxi-screens.
