Cantina Ercolani - Underground City

A farm where history and tradition coexist

Founded in 1988 and located in the charming Tuscan village of Montepulciano, the Cantina Ercolani winery has been synonymous with quality and tradition for years. From the unbreakable bond that the Ercolani family has with their land comes a careful and respectful cultivation and processing of raw materials, from which they produce the typical specialities of the Poliziana tradition, such as Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, Vinsanto D.O.C., extra virgin olive oil and various grappas.

The pride of the Ercolani Winery is the Underground City, a monumental pathway dating back to the 15th century where you can taste and sample the typical local products that the company offers: cold meats, cheeses, wines, oil and jams. All while passing oak barrels, small fountains, ancient Etruscan tombs and wells. 

You can also take part in truffle hunting excursions, the grape harvest and accompanying visits to the farm’s grounds.
