Christmas Markets in Bressanone

Overview

Christmas lovers, here we go: on the 29th of November 2024 the sparkling lights of the Christmas tree will be lit and the market stalls will once more fill Piazza Duomo, in Bressanone. Until the 6th of January 2025, you can immerse yourself in one of the most magical Christmas atmospheres in Italy, taking in the colors and true scents of Christmas.

Quality, craftsmanship, nature and flavor will be in full focus. You can shop for allsorts in the wooden market stalls: natural cosmetics, herbal teas, essential oils from organic production, scented candles and handcrafted wooden objects. For those with a sweet tooth, don't miss the bread and pastry specialties such as the delicious Strauben (fried pastry from Tyrol), donuts and baked apples: pure delight!

Also worth trying are the typical heart-warming dishes, such as pumpkin and wine soup, barley soup, and traditional dumplings.

For the first time this year, an oasis of tranquility will be set up to provide an area to rest, but not just that. You can warm up with a steaming cup of mulled wine or apple juice in front of a crackling fire. The perfect opportunity for Christmas storytelling with the children and traditional crafts for the adults.

Many fun activities await you: events, exhibitions, musical performances and workshops.

The Christmas markets will be open until January 6, 2025.
