Parco delle Querce di Carpegna

Overview

Jewel of Montefeltro

On the border between Le Marche, Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna, in the area known as Montefeltro, you can enjoy a day in nature, with relaxation, good food and splendid views. In the Parco delle Querce di Carpegna, in the province of Pesaro and Urbino, you can enjoy a picnic surrounded by greenery, at tables shaded by gazebos or next to braziers for a barbecue. Be sure to try a slice of Prosciutto di Carpegna PDO, the star of local cuisine, to which a festival is dedicated in July.

In Carpegna, a delightful town on the slopes of Monte Carpegna, we recommend visiting the majestic 17th-century Palazzo dei Principi and the small Church of San Sisto, dating to 1182. Nearby, you can explore some little-known villages, including Cavoleto, Frontino and Castello di Pietrarubbia. Or you can enjoy scenic trekking, mountain biking or horse riding on the extensive network of trails on Monte Carpegna in the Sasso Simone and Simoncello Interregional Park. From its summit, the views reach as far as the Sibillini Mountains and the Adriatic Sea. The more daring visitors can experience the thrill of a paragliding flight.
