Civic Museum

Overview

The Civic Museum, located in the cloister of San Francesco, is an important repository for the artistic, historical and cultural heritage of Mondavio. It houses a wide range of works, including 17th and 18th century paintings, statues and ceramics. There are also numerous old book editions dating from the 15th to 19th centuries from the former Capuchin monastery. In addition, there are reproductions of Casteldurante ceramics, canvases from the school of Barocci and a canvas attributed to Ridolfi. Other valuable artefacts worth mentioning are the wooden tabernacle from 1620 and another carved and inlaid tabernacle from the former Capuchin church.
