Piani di Ragnolo

Overview

In the heart of the Sibillini Mountains

The Plains of Ragnolo are a plateau in the Sibillini Mountains, in the Marche region. Here nature reigns supreme in the shade of majestic peaks and opens a fabulous view that from the peaks of Marche reaches the Adriatic Sea and on clear days touches the coasts of Croatia.

The landscape in spring is breathtaking, among immense pastures dotted with colorful flowers that seem to recreate an impressionist painting. The best time to enjoy flowering is between May and June, when violets, daffodils, peonies and wild orchids bloom.

The Plains of Ragnolo, at 1,380 meters above sea level, are a true paradise for lovers of botany but also for those who want to enjoy nature, good air and the serenity of a place that offers both relaxation and outdoor activities. From here pass several paths that climb on the nearest reliefs. The most coveted peak is Pizzo Meta, the view is a real spectacle.

In winter we have fun in the snow. Here you can find various rings for cross-country skiing, while those who prefer to walk can wear snowshoes and go between the paths. Sleddogs and snow-kite are also practiced in Acquacanina.
