Frontone

Overview

An ancient jurisdiction of the Montefeltro family, the hilltop village of Frontone, due to the landscape by which it is surrounded, is the perfect place for those seeking contact with nature, or for those who want to actively discover the area by hiking, mountain biking or snowshoeing. Here people can cross nature while remaining in close contact with the animal world: in fact, people can spot birds of prey of rare beauty and this is also the land where the Catria Horse originated. The historical-architectural soul of the village is instead intertwined with the church of Santa Maria dell'Acqua Nera, which houses the terracotta statue of the Virgin and Child, and with the castle, an architecture that recounts with its lines and strength the medieval history of these lands.
