Bellagio

Overview

The pearl of Lario

Bellagio is among the most fascinating tourist destinations beside Lake Como. Thanks to its ideal location, it offers unmistakable landscapes and views: to one side, the lake branches off into its southern arms, while to the north, you can admire the Alps. Everywhere you look is beauty.

The relatively small size of the village allows for peaceful and beautiful walks along the lakeshore and in the delightful historic centre. You can enjoy some gelato and shop at some of the many artisan shops.

We recommend visiting the complex of Villa Melzi, a stunning example of early 19th-century architecture, home to one of Italy’s most beautiful English-style gardens.
Don’t miss Villa Serbelloni, built in 1854, characterised by the simplicity of its architectural lines. Perched on the promontory, it houses the remains of the ancient castle of Bellagio. Before leaving, be sure to visit the Church of San Giacomo, a wonderful example of 12th-century Romanesque art.

You can reach Bellagio by boat from Como for a unique opportunity to take a trip on the lake and explore its beauty.
