Valle dei Laghi

Overview

Impressive natural views, architectural beauty and shimmering stretches of water characterise the Valle dei Laghi, a fascinating valley between Lake Garda and Trento, north of the village of Sarche. Particularly well known for its numerous lakes, this area holds, between the Paganella and Monte Bondone massifs, more than seven alpine lakes: natural oases where, in summer, even the warm rays of the sun dive into the placid, transparent waters, a clear invitation to stop at the shores of the valley's lakes to regenerate in the heart of the mountains.

The valley is known to connoisseurs of food and wine for the production of Vino Santo, a passito wine that releases all the authentic flavour of this enchanting land in the mouth, and for its different varieties of grappa.

Small villages, rural settlements, extensive orchards and lush vineyards shape the landscape of this valley formed by the ancient Adige riverbed and the Sarca Valley. A fascinating panorama to enjoy on foot or by bicycle, pedalling along the dedicated cycle path, while the wind blows the intoxicating scents of nature onto your face.

The best known of the lakes that give the valley its name from the north are Lake Terlago, Lakes Lamar, Lake Cavedine and Lake Toblino.
