Caderzone

Overview

On the slopes of the Brenta Dolomites and the Adamello-Presanella glaciers, in the Adamello Brenta Natural Park, Caderzone Terme, one of the oldest settlements in Val Rendena, is set in an alpine context rich in colour contrasts that stand out to the eye. The historical centre offers suggestive corners: steep cobblestone streets, squares with characteristic stone fountains, granite portals, and wooden balconies full of flowers. Among the historical monuments is the Lodron-Bertelli Palace dating back to the early 14th century, inside whose stables is housed the Malga Museum, which tells the story of the work carried out on the alpine pastures scattered across the Giudicarie territory and collects the tools that time and experience have perfected for processing milk and its derivatives. The wellbeing of the local community and guests has been guaranteed for centuries, not only by its location, but also by the water of the ferruginous S. Antonio spring, which gushes out above the village and is used today in the Rendena Valley spa.
