Overview
A small and characteristic mountain village, due to its history and the conformation of its territory, Borgo Pace presents itself as a diffuse village, with its numerous hamlets that grew out of the mediaeval castles in which the inhabitants took refuge. The heart of the town is Piazza del Pino, with its Church of Santa Maria Nuova, but also worth a visit, for those who want to discover the cultural roots of the area, are the Museum of Peasant Civilisation, where the tools and ancient agricultural utensils are preserved, the Benedictine Abbey of S. Michele Arcangelo in Lamoli, and the adjoining Museum of Natural Colours, through which one can discover the fascinating world of natural colours.
