From Peschiera del Garda to Mantova

It starts in Peschiera del Garda, in the province of Verona and follows the right bank of the River Mincio into Lombardy in the municipality of Ponti Sul Mincio (Mantua). The Peschiera del Garda-Mantua section has been one of the most famous protected long-distance cycle routes for over 20 years.
Immersed in the green Mincio Park, you will regenerate in the tranquil agricultural countryside and, without realising it, you will arrive in Mantua, a UNESCO heritage site and one of Italy's most important art cities, whose historic centre captivates with its extraordinary beauty. Referred to as the “City of Three Lakes” because of the stretches of water bathing it on three sides, it is also the home of Virgil, Dante's spiritual guide in Hell and Purgatory. For art and history lovers, the city holds unparalleled treasures, created by the likes of Mantegna, Pisanello, Rubens and Leon Battista Alberti.
From Mantova towards Emilia-Romagna

The cycle route continues to San Benedetto Po, where you can visit the Polirone Abbey. Here the route heads south along the riverbank and down to Moglia, where it crosses the Lombardy border before continuing towards Bologna.
