Armani/Silos

Overview

Museum of style and fashion

At 40 Via Bergognone in the heart of Milan, the world-famous fashion designer Giorgio Armani opened the Armani/Silos exhibition space in 2015 to commemorate 40 years of his celebrated career. The Museum, a converted barn from the 1950s, which is now an impeccable example of style and design, was named after Armani himself, who explains: “I chose to call it Silos because that is where grains, a material for living, were stored. And just like food, clothing is also needed to live”.

Inside the permanent exhibition, which is split into the three areas Androgino, Etnie and Stars, the designer displays the garments that over the years have made the Giorgio Armani brand a renowned reference point and style icon in the world of fashion. Purity, simplicity and beauty are among the values that define Armani’s work and clothes, which even people who are less enthusiastic about fashion cannot remain indifferent to.
