Overview
Built at the behest of brothers Luigi and Guglielmo Vertemate Franchi in the second half of the 16th century, it is an elegant stately palace that still retains an enclosure, the caretaker's house, wine press, cellar, stables and icehouse. The palace is a centre of cultural interest that adds to the museum's many summer outdoor concerts and cultural events. Vineyards and chestnut groves provide the raw materials for artisanal DOC production.
