Borgo dell'Aschetto

Overview

Between Etruscan sites and ancient watchtowers

Halfway between Civitavecchia and Rome, 40 minutes from Fiumicino, lies Borgo dell'Aschetto, an agritourism immersed in the tranquillity of the Lazio countryside. Surrounded by greenery, the facility offers 7 air-conditioned rooms, each with en-suite bathroom, kitchenette, dining area, TV, sofa, patio access, minibar and wi-fi connection. For complete relaxation, enjoy the large outdoor pool, bordered by palm trees, flower boxes and benches. Weather permitting, dining by the pool is also possible. Free public parking is available for guests.

It is only 3 kilometres from the centre of Cerveteri, while heading towards the coast is the Palude di Torre Flavia Natural Monument, a coastal watchtower of medieval origin erected by Cardinal Flavio Orsini. In just 10 minutes by car, you can reach the Banditaccia Necropolis, a site of cultural interest spanning about 400 hectares, where thousands of burials from the Etruscan period were discovered in the 19th century. If you have a car, you can drive to Lake Bracciano, about 25 kilometres away: it will be worth it.
