Recoaro Terme

Overview

Thermal springs and traditional folklore

Located at the bottom of a valley known as the Conca di Smeraldo (Emerald Basin) in the Alta Valle dell’Agno, Recoaro Terme is a municipality in the province of Vicenza in the Veneto, on the border with Trentino-Alto Adige. The town is famous throughout Italy for its fine mineral waters, notably the brand Lora, and the other waters used in the Fonti Centrali spa.

Recoaro Terme is a popular tourist destination in both summer and winter, thanks to its thermal spa complex and the Recoaro Mille ski resort. From the 19th century to the present day, the town has preserved its Art Nouveau style in the façades of many buildings in the historic centre, while also retaining the rustic style of its heyday of rural and mountain art. The pride in tradition and folklore is also clearly visible today, as shopkeepers and restaurateurs sport typical Cimbrian dress.

For some well-deserved relaxation, the spa complex of Recoaro Terme, at the foot of the Little Dolomites offers physical and mental wellbeing, with breathtaking views. The spa is located in around 55 acres of parkland and offers very prestigious curative and medical treatments within its historic buildings.
