The Asiago Plateau

Overview

Unique views of the Vicentine Alps

The Asiago Plateau, or the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni, between the Veneto province of Vicenza and the autonomous province of Trento, is the ideal destination for a relaxing mountain holiday at any time of year.

It doesn’t take long to explore the small centre of Asiago on foot, among the narrow streets and colourful buildings that give the village its typical mountain atmosphere, and only a short distance away you can immerse yourself in nature.

In winter, the Asiago Plateau offers over 500 kilometres of cross-country ski runs and 80 kilometres of downhill ski runs served by over 40 ski lifts. The closest ski area to Asiago, just a few minutes away by car, is the Kaberlaba ski resort, while the Val Formica-Cima Larici ski area is only a few kilometres away.

If you’re not a fan of snow sports, there are plenty of places of interest to discover on the Plateau, from the impressive Military Shrine commemorating those who fell during WWI to the picturesque Lumera Lake, accessible on foot from the centre of Asiago, not forgetting the central Corso IV Novembre, where you can indulge in a few hours of shopping.
