Parish Church of St Vincent

Overview

The remains of a Roman villa from the 2nd and 3rd century AD serve as the foundation of the church, built between the 11th and 12th centuries. The building, which has been renovated several times, houses carved wooden statues, such as the Madonna Enthroned with Child, dating from the second half of the 14th century, and the St. Maurice in polychrome wood, dating from the early 15th century. Among the sacred art objects are a silver-foil processional cross from the Savoy area, produced in the second half of the 15th century, an embroidered chasuble cross with the Coronation of the Virgin, a brass basin of Flemish-Rhine production, dating back to the 15th-16th century, a painted glass from 1561 depicting the Flagellation of Christ, as well as reliquaries and vestments.
