Mav Museum of Traditional Valdostan Craftsmanship

Overview

A few steps from the elegant towers of Fénis Castle opened in 2022 the new set-up of the interesting MAV-Museum of Traditional Valdostan Craftsmanship, which narrates one of the most historically developed economic sectors in the Aosta Valley.

The Aosta Valley is well known for the variety and quality of its handicrafts, which are staged every winter during the S. Orso fair in Aosta, among the most important events dedicated to handicrafts in Italy. The MAV is able to maintain the memory and knowledge behind the creation of valuable products: alpine wood furniture pieces and kitchen utensils, fabrics and sculptures enrich the eyes and mind of the visitor.
