Overview

DREAM OF A LIFETIME BECOMING AN ECOLOGICAL COMPANY

Originally from Veneto, Lisa Dotta moved to Trentino, in the spectacular setting of the Dolomites. Early on, she cultivated the dream of a farming activity that would allow her to return to the slowness of nature, to time cadenced by everyday life, sun and rain, the rhythm of the seasons.

She always dedicated herself to relaunching the economy of Rover di Capriana, ancient farming village hit by the 1966 flood, with the aim of maintaining the terraced environment, preventing the advance of the forest, protecting and improving the already rich biodiversity, cultivating local vegetables and medicinal plants, with an ecological approach and shrewd use of water, according to nature, by sowing and cultivating native plants, reducing the risk of disease and stress to the vegetation.

THE LARGE FLORAL CLOCK MARKS THE HOURS AND REMINDS US OF OUR CONNECTION WITH NATURE

The garden is in the form of a large floral clock, oriented according to the cardinal points, marking the hours, casting the shadow of a larch trunk uprooted by the storm Vaia. The dials are an explosion of flowers linked to the 4 elements, reminding us of man's deep connection with nature and, specifically, with the earth.

Cradled in the peace of this place, guests can stroll among the flowers and in the vegetable garden, choosing vegetables to take away.

A small motor cultivator with a rotary plough is used for ploughing. All other operations, from weeding to harvesting, are done by hand. In the mountains, being a farmer means first and foremost being a guardian of the land and its ecosystem.
