Silandro

Overview

Around Silandro, the Vinschgau valley expands in size, becoming a wide, sunny and breezy basin that is home to hectares of crops, including buckwheat, rye, fruit trees and vines.

In the centre of the landscape is the village of Silandro, where the more than 90-metre-high bell tower of the church of Santa Maria Assunta stands out. The village is the most densely populated in the Vinschgau Valley, as well as an administrative centre of reference, and a privileged stopping point for travellers who set off from here on nature excursions all year round.
