Considered one of the most beautiful mountain huts in Italy, and a reference point for hikers and walkers visiting the Passeiertal Valley, the Grünboden-Hütte is a modern building that is the ideal place for a refreshing break.
The hut is equipped with a restaurant and self-service, where you can eat high-quality regional products. The hut is located near the Grünbodenexpress cable car, which leads to the Grünboden mountain: the cabins and chairlifts are equipped with heated seats and are covered. From the cable car, open from June until October, you can enjoy panoramic views of the South Tyrolean mountains.
Val Passiria has year-round attractions, such as the Passirio Gorge, the Masi dello Scudo and Sandwirt farmsteads and the Malerhaus. There are also plenty of churches, shrines and museums that recount the history and culture of the valley.
