Overview
The Fondovalle refuge is located in Sesto, in the Fiscalina valley, right in the heart of the UNESCO World Natural Heritage site, on the edge of the famous 3 Peaks Nature Park.
Located at 1548 m, this refuge with its unique panoramic view makes it the ideal starting point for countless walks and excursions - or the final leg of the journey for novice hikers and families with young children.
The menu is based on South Tyrolean specialities, Mediterranean food and traditional country fare. The ingredients are mainly sourced locally, or picked fresh from the herb garden next to the restaurant.
The hostel is picturesque and has a friendly atmosphere, with all the charm of a modern mountain retreat.
From here you can see the Dolomites, which look like mighty stone giants watching over the refuge - they seem so close that you can almost touch them.
The limestone formations of the Croda Rossa, the imposing Cima Una, the peaks of the Meridiana di Sesto and the grandiose Punta Tre Scarperi reach majestically into the sky.
