Due Rocche Falls

Overview

The waterfall of Due Rocche is hidden behind the small church of the Madonna delle Rocche, on the edge of the historic centre. In this area, the Corleone stream enters the city through a canyon carved into the limestone rock that ends in a scenic jump. At the foot of the waterfall, the water collects in a blue-green pond, surrounded by wet rocks to which a varied vegetation clings. The waterfall is inside a park where access is limited during periods of high flow, to preserve the tranquility of the area and ensure a pleasant experience for visitors. The best time to visit is in spring, when the stream reaches its maximum volume, increasing the spectacular nature of the waterfall.

In the area there are also the remains of ancient structures, probably built over the centuries to divert and exploit the force of the water of the stream.
