Cefalù port

Overview

The blue sea and fishermen's cottages

The old port of Cefalù, also known as the Porticciolo, is a magical corner that is definitely worth a visit, especially at sunset. The ancient fishing port of Cefalù certainly offers one of the most beautiful views of the city and direct access to the sea.

The small beach, the rocks that enclose it, the 70-metre pier, the balconies of the buildings overlooking the sea, the silhouette of the cathedral and the verdant hill of La Rocca in the background make the picture perfect.

Near the port there is also Porta Pescara, the last of the four medieval town gates still standing, consisting of a Gothic arch that faces the beach, where small, colourful fishing boats rest.
