Overview
The Le Ciminiere exhibition centre in Catania is a multifunctional complex covering an area of 27,000 square metres. The Centre is the result of the recovery of several buildings that made up the large industrial complex for processing sulphur extracted from the mines in the Sicilian hinterland. Le Ciminiere exhibition centre is divided into three large areas: the trade fair area, the congress area, and the exhibition area.
The Trade Fair Area is used as the venue for major local, national or international events. There are also offices, meeting rooms, a press room, a bar and a catering area.
The Congress Area houses a large auditorium for conferences, concerts, and performances. It is made up of a lower hall (600 seats), an upper hall (1200 seats) and a meeting room (220 seats).
The Exhibition Area hosts art exhibitions, displays, cultural meetings, shows, workshops.
