Overview
Now in its 77th year, the Mandorlo in Fiore event is back, spreading a message of hope, harmony and happiness from Agrigento, the city famous for its Valley of the Temples, from the 8th to the 16th of March.
In the shadow of the majestic Temple of Concordia, a Unesco site, there will be a host of exciting happenings, including dance, music, educational events, shows, concerts, exhibitions, parades, entertainment and food&wine.
The event, organised by the Municipality of Agrigento together with the Valley of Temples Archaeological Park, starts with the lighting of the Tripod of Friendship in front of the Temple of Concordia, followed by a torchlit parade through the streets and squares of the city.
There will be a packed programme at this annual event, which includes the International Folklore Festival and the International Festival for Children Around the World which aims to keep spreading the message of peace and harmony across the globe.
