Visit Il Castello, an Arab-Norman fortress from the 11th century, located on the rock of Monte at 397 meters high. Observe a wide variety of landscapes from the tower, ranging from the Ionian side to the Strait of Messina, including the towns of Taormina and Castelmola and the volcano Etna down to its foothills and the long coast with its villages.
Reach the Taormina Castle via a staircase carved into the rock. Get tickets online or at the ticket office. At the entrance, show your ticket to receive an audio guide in five languages, covering 21 historical points within the castle. You will also get a bilingual 3D map indicating all points of interest. At the end of the visit, receive a personalized parchment.
