Rena Majore

Overview

A corner of paradise in Sardinia

The only thing that distinguishes the village from its beach is one vowel: Rena Majore and Rena Majori, respectively. Together, they are the ideal destination for visitors to the northern tip of Sardinia looking for idyllic landscapes, white sand, crystal-clear sea, and lush, fragrant vegetation.

It is a corner of paradise still off the beaten tourist track and unknown to most visitors who venture to this part of the island. The beach extends into the territory of Aglientu, on a stretch of coastline interrupted by the mouths of the Ciuchesa and Cantaru rivers. You are sure to love the fine sand and intense colour of the waters, from blue to emerald green. You can don a snorkelling mask to observe the shallow, sandy seabed populated by fish.

Behind the beach is a thick pine forest that surrounds the shoreline - a perfect place to shelter on hot days.
