Romazzino

Overview

Rare beauty

Romazzino Beach, in the municipality of Arzachena, is just under half an hour from Olbia in the direction of Portisco-Cala Volpe-Capriccioli. Reaching it may seem a bit of an adventure, but once there you will feel reborn. It is in fact considered one of the most beautiful beaches on the entire Costa Smeralda, enclosed between Punta Capaccia to the north and Punta Romazzino to the south.

Here, the shimmering sea is between blue and green in colour and the sand is very fine and white. The beach is sheltered from the wind and surrounded on all sides by Mediterranean scrub. The area is not called Romazzino by chance: romazzinu is Gallurese for rosemary, an aromatic plant that fills holidays on these shores with its fragrance.

Near Romazzino there is also Prince's beach and, in particular, Little Romazzino, which is even more beautiful than its larger namesake, if that were possible. If you enjoy hiking, two paths of the Pevero Health Trail begin here.
