Gulf of Cugnana

Overview

Between beautiful beaches and nature trails

In the north-eastern part of Sardinia, in the middle of Gallura, Gulf of Cugnana stretches for over 30 kilometres and is characterised by a rugged coastline rich in inlets, beaches and coves.

Among the most beautiful beaches in the Gulf of Cugnana are the Spiaggia Bianca (White Beach), the Spiaggia del Pellicano (Pelican Beach), the Spiaggia di Marinella (Marinella Beach) and the Spiaggia di Cala Sabina (Cala Sabina Beach), all characterised by clear, calm waters and white sand. The area is considered a paradise for sailing and windsurfing enthusiasts thanks to its shape, constant winds and thermals along the coast.

The Gulf of Cugnana is also the ideal place to immerse oneself in the nature and culture of Sardinia thanks to several paths that wind through the Mediterranean scrub and offer spectacular views of the sea and coastline. One example is the one that starts from Cala di Volpe and offers a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Arzachena.

Not to be missed in the area are the Nuraghe Riu Mulinu, an ancient archaeological site dating back to the Bronze Age, and La Maddalena Wildlife Park, where you can admire the wildlife of Sardinia.
