Capo Figari

Overview

A dreamlike view of the sea

Capo Figari is a headland on the north-eastern coast of Sardinia, along the coast of Golfo Aranci. The headland is characterised by unspoilt nature and a breathtaking panoramic view of the sea and the surrounding coastline.

At the top of the headland is the former traffic light station, a historic building built in the 19th century to monitor maritime traffic in the Gulf of Olbia and the Gulf of Aranci. The building consists of a building with a semicircular turret and a series of annexes used as staff accommodation. Today the building has been restored and transformed into a museum and a research centre where you can discover the history of the headland, but also that of its fauna and flora.

Capo Figari is an ideal destination for lovers of nature and trekking thanks to a series of paths that wind through the Mediterranean scrub and offer spectacular views of the surroundings. Among the activities you can enjoy in Capo Figari there are also birdwatching, underwater fishing and snorkelling, thanks to the presence of a rich marine fauna and numerous caves and inlets.
