Capo Ferrato

Overview

A silent and unspoilt headland

About 60 km from Cagliari, along the south-eastern coast of Sardinia, stands a lonely and fascinating place known and appreciated since prehistoric times. It is the Capo Ferrato headland, a protected reserve from which one can experience the sea in its exquisite simplicity.

The small mountain can be explored thanks to a trekking route where you can enjoy not only unspoilt nature, but also the remains of prehistoric civilisations such as the ancient tombs known as domus de Janas. The view from the summit is one of the most beautiful in the whole of Sardinia: the panorama opens out over the entire Muravera area, from the forest to the Sette fratelli park.

The area is dominated by absolute silence and the intense scents of Mediterranean essences that envelop the entire headland. Sea lovers can relax at the small and wild Cala sa Figu and Portu s'Illixi beaches, nestled between wild cliffs and reachable by sea or by following the small paths of Capo Ferrato.
