The museum, located in the former 16th-century monastery of St. Benedict, preserves architectural fragments and sculptures, partially reassembled, from the marble furnishings of the cathedral of Troy, bronzes, paintings from the 17th to 18th century and sculptural groups from the 18th century from various churches in the city.
