San Menaio beach

Announced by kilometres of almost linear coastline with no inlets, the long beach of San Menaio is easily accessible and has numerous lidos alternating with stretches of free beach. The shallow water also makes the beach suitable and convenient for families with children, so it can be a bit crowded. The final part coincides with the entrance to the Centro Scalini (or Tufare) beach, which is more uncomfortable but quieter, and where dinghies and canoes can be rented. For those who love free beaches, we recommend the Sospetto beach, at the foot of the cave of the same name, or the fine sandy beach of the beautiful Calenella cove, with the unmistakable cultivated plain behind it. Surrounded by trees, a few caravans in the shade: it is a very atmospheric, tranquil environment, ideal for peaceful swimming.
