Torre Canne

Overview

Between spas and a dreamlike sea

A hamlet of the municipality of Fasano, a few kilometres from Brindisi, Torre Canne is a popular tourist destination thanks to the indisputable beauty of its sea. Its marvellous beach is located in the Parco Dune Costiere (Coastal Dunes Park) from Torre Canne to Torre San Leonardo and is characterised by fine, light-coloured sand that creates striking dunes dotted with lush Mediterranean vegetation.

A multiple FEE Blue Flag and Green Flag winner, it is a child-friendly beach thanks to its shallow sandy seabed that slopes slowly and allows for refreshing and safe swimming. Torre Canne, however, is best known for its thermal baths, frequented all year round by tourists from every corner of Italy and beyond, and attracts many curious visitors thanks to its lighthouse, the symbol of the Fasano marina. 35 metres high, it was built in 1928 with two dwellings at its base where the first two Farist families lived. They had to stay nearby to recharge the lamp and light the lantern every two to three hours.

The Torre Canne lighthouse will give you a breathtaking view of the coastline. Take a gourmand pause to savour a typical product of the area, the Regina tomato, characterised by a crown-shaped stalk.
