This is the name given to an ancient city from Greek and Roman times in which important finds have been discovered. If you are a golf enthusiast, you will find a popular course in Savelletri, one of the largest in the area, with 18 holes.
Every second Sunday in August, you can join the Festivities for the patron, St Francis of Paola, which also includes the Swordfish Festival, a must for gourmands. If you explore the surroundings you'll come to Torre Canne, where the spectacular beach is part of the Coastal Dune Park from Torre Canne to Torre San Leonardo.
