Museo di Rodoretto

Overview

Studying the ethnography and daily existence of the Waldensian valleys requires an in-depth analysis of their rural life and agricultural work. Life in these areas is characterised by a strong connection with the land and the environment that surrounds them, where families cultivate their land and raise animals. Agricultural work is a fundamental element in their culture and includes the cultivation of fruit, vegetables, cereals and fodder, as well as grazing and cattle breeding. Rural life also has a great impact on people's diets, which tend to consist mainly of local products.
