Stresa

Overview

Relaxation and exclusivity on Lake Maggiore

Sumptuous villas, luxury hotels and well-preserved parks. It is a pleasure to get lost in the alleyways of the centre of Stresa, a small jewel on the shores of Lake Maggiore. Two residences are of particular interest: Palazzo Bolongaro, or Villa Ducale, and Villa Pallavicino. The latter is surrounded by a park with a rich fauna of more than 50 different species, where you can immerse yourself for a long walk amidst the greenery.

The Borromean Islands are the area’s main attraction, easily accessible from Stresa. The archipelago consists of Isola Madre, Isola Superiore and Isola Bella: each has its own characteristics, making them unique and equally fascinating.

Mottarone towers imposingly, over Stresa and over the entire lake. By climbing to the top, by foot or by cable car, you can enjoy unforgettable views of Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta. On a clear day, it is also possible to catch a glimpse of Lake Varese and all the small lakes in the surrounding areas.
