Press Club - Sporting A.S.D.

Overview

More than just a sports club

A prestigious sports club, one of the most important and richest in the history of Turin with a past made of successes and great personalities, but also of passion, dedication and commitment to sport and culture. It is the Circolo della Stampa Sporting Club Torino, founded in 1912 in the heart of the Piedmontese city, which boasts a long and renowned tradition at the sporting and competitive level.

Born in the middle of the green, near the Olympic Stadium, today it has 2000 members. Its structure, built in 1942, includes a 40 x 50 meters swimming pool with the Olympic diving trampoline and an amphitheatre stadium with 4,000 seats in which memorable international tennis events took place and has become a historical heritage for the Superintendence of Architectural Heritage of Piedmont.

Joined the Circolo della Stampa in 1957, it has its cultural headquarters in Palazzo Ceriana - Mayneri, a nineteenth-century residence designed by the Turin architect Carlo Ceppi, within which events are organized such as press conferences, cultural debates, book presentations, concerts, private dinners and wonderful ceremonies that take place between delightfully frescoed rooms. A symbol of sport and culture in the capital of Piedmont.
