Vezza d'Alba

Overview

The land of truffles

The unmistakable scent of truffles wafts through the alleyways of Vezza d'Alba, a thousand-year-old village and first stop on the Romantic Road of the Langhe and Roero. The town is surrounded by hills, deep gorges and the sheer walls of the Rocche del Roero and, on the left, it is caressed by the waters of the Tanaro. Despite the rugged, wild landscape, the village retains a delicate, almost fairytale-like charm.

Visit the Church of San Bernardino, the Sanctuary of the Madonna dei Boschi and the Roero Natural History Museum, for a journey to discover the history of Vezza d'Alba and its territory.

Sitting at the table, enjoy the delights of traditional cuisine, naturally based on truffles, but also peaches and madernassa pears, an indigenous variety of the Roero. All accompanied by a glass of Roero Arneis, one of Piedmont's finest white wines.
