Claviere

Overview

A paradise for snow aficionados

A small municipality in Alta Val di Susa, at an altitude of 1760 metres and a few kilometres from the French border, Claviere is the ideal destination for snow lovers.

Amid the 18 kilometres of slopes for downhill skiing and three rings for cross-country skiing, you will be spoilt for choice. Claviere offers trails suitable for everyone, including the black slope Pian del Sole that connects the Italian facilities to the French resort of Montgenèvre. After a busy day in the snow, relax in one of the high-altitude restaurants to admire the view. The view of the 3131-metre-high Chaberton Mountain is particularly beautiful.

In summer, Claviere does not lose its charm, thanks to hiking trails suitable for all levels, for walking or mountain biking. Golf enthusiasts can try their hand at some high-altitude holes at the town's Golf Club, while the more adventurous can experience adrenaline-fuelled moments by crossing the world's longest Tibetan bridge: 544 metres of steel cables suspended 30 metres above the San Gervasio Gorge.
