Bergolo

Overview

Bergolo is one of the smallest villages in the Langhe, which is also known as the "village of stone", due to its distinctive old houses made of exposed local sandstone. The magnificent panoramic position looking over the Bormida and Uzzone valleys, the flowers decorating the windows of the houses, the murals and contemporary art sculptures placed in the most picturesque corners of the historic centre and on the walls of the houses make this a quaint and charming village. Along paths through the greenery, you can climb the small hill to the Romanesque chapel of St Sebastian (12th century), a spot of outstanding scenic and panoramic beauty.
