Palazzo del Ghiaccio

Overview

The Palazzo del Ghiaccio in Milan is a splendid Art Nouveau building commissioned by national ice skating champion Count Alberto Bonacossa and opened on 28th December 1923. At the time, its 1800-square-metre rink made it the largest indoor ice rink in Europe and one of the largest in the world.

Today, the Palazzo hosts major national and international events, including concerts, fashion shows, exhibitions, gala dinners, cultural events, theatre performances, conventions and trade fairs. The large parterre, covering over 2,400 square metres, is flanked by other, smaller spaces of various sizes, all adaptable to any given event.
