The Brescia-Paratico bicycle path

Overview

Cycling from the city to the lake

From the centre of Brescia to the shores of Lake Iseo, more precisely to Paratico, through the vineyards and romantic landscapes of Franciacorta. You can explore all this at a steady pace on your bicycle, without missing a single corner. As you pedal through villages and cultivated fields, nature and history, you will fall in love with the Brescia-Paratico bicycle path and the beauty it reveals.

It begins in Piazza della Loggia, Brescia. You can follow the signs to leave the city and head towards Cellatica and Gussago, before stopping for a break at Rodengo Saiano, not only to rest your legs but also to visit the Abbey of San Nicola. Back on your bike, you will head to Paderno Franciacorta, then ride along the long tree-lined avenue that, among oaks and linden trees, leads to the fairy-tale Passirano Castle, boasting Ghibelline battlements and surrounded by lush vineyards.

You will then leave Monterotondo and Provaglio d’Iseo behind, cycling over gentle hills. You will arrive at the Torbiere del Sebino Nature Reserve, an oasis of peace and silence interrupted only by the chirping of birds nesting among these reeds.

You have almost reached your destination. A final push and you will reach Cremignone, where finally the lake comes into view. You will pass Clusane and head for Paratico. You can dismount and enjoy a lunch or aperitif. You will have earned it!
