Dalmine

The Lombard town of Dalmine is located about 8 km to the south-west of Bergamo, near the river Brembo. The municipality covers an area of about 1,157 hectares of flat land and includes several towns and villages including Dalmine, Sforzatica, Mariano, Sabbio Brembo, Guzzanica and Santa Maria d'Oleno, all located around one of Bergamo's largest industrial plants: Dalmine s.p.a., part of the Tenaris Group, a world leader in the production of seamless steel pipes and industrial services. The town has a number of interesting places to visit, such as churches, libraries, medieval castles and air-raid shelters.
