Capo Berta

Overview

Breathtaking views of the Gulf of Diano Marina

Together with Capo Cervo to the east, Capo Berta wraps around the Gulf of Diano Marina on the Ligurian coast of the Riviera di Ponente. From its highest point, you can enjoy stunning views of the entire inlet, with its blue waters and sheer cliffs. You can stop to admire the remains of the Alpicella Tower, a circular military fortification dating back to the 14th-15th centuries.

The area is full of natural surprises sure to delight anyone who loves hiking and biodiversity. The flora is exceptionally varied and includes species such as the Aleppo pine, dwarf palm, rosemary, thyme, Scotch broom and Savona bellflower. You can immerse yourself in the scent of flowers, intertwined with the sea air to create an intoxicating fragrance.

We recommend heading to Diano Marina to explore its historic centre, brimming with cultural sights and craft shops. The undisputed star of the town is its beach, more than three kilometres long, where you can relax at the end of the day as you watch the sun dip into the sea.
